Dear Kids:

Do you like all of the books in your classroom library? DO you like ANY of the books in your classroom library?

If your best friend read a really great book and gave it to you would you read it?

Lets pretend EVERY kid in your grade last year read a really great book and donated it to your classroom library. Think of ALL of the great books you could read now!

My name is Brittany Turner-Brunton and I'm in the 12th Grade. Every year on my birthday, my Mom and me go shopping and I pick out a good book that I like and I donate it to my classroom library.

One day I had this idea that every year on EVERY student's birthday they could do the same! Every student could select a book and donate it to the Classroom Library so everyone can enjoy it. Everyone in THEIR class could enjoy it that year, and everyone in all of the classes from then forward, too!

So, I created the "Happy Birthday Book Foundation", so all the kids would know what to do. It doesn't even have to be a new book (as long as it was a GOOD book) but it would be good if it was in good condition to make your classroom library looking nicer.

Here is some information about it, and how you can help me make it happen. You can make your own classroom library even more fun. You can do this, and the kids in the grade above you can do it, and you'll have really great books to read EVERY YEAR!! The grade behind you will get to read YOUR choices! So pick a good book!
