The Happy Birthday book foundation is an amazing organization designed by Brittany Turner in order to change the world!

The Foundations ultimate goal is to expand classroom libraries worldwide, but we’re taking it one step at a time; school by school, child-by-child, birthday-by-birthday! Every year on a child’s birthday, they get to go out with their parent, choose their favorite book, and donate it to their classroom library!

They go the website and print out a bookplate which they fill out themselves, (as you can see on the book plate page) and glue it into the front cover of their favorite book! Once the school year goes by, children will have donated their favorite books and the classroom library will have expanded immensely! Although each child will only donate one book a year on their birthdays, the books will begin to add up. Kids who come in the following year will come into the class, and read a whole new variety of books that the children in the year before donated!

The process will continue until the classrooms have SO many wonderful books, that the teachers won’t know what to do with them!
